1. Overview

Metronome ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Metronome is an iOS productivity app for task planning, focus timers, and routines.

2. Information We Collect

a. Account Information

  • Email address
  • Authentication data from sign-in providers, including Google Sign-In if you choose it

b. Google Calendar Data (Optional)

If you connect Google Calendar, we request only the read-only scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly.

With this permission, we may access:

  • Calendar list metadata
  • Event title, description, location, start and end time, and all-day status
  • Time zone, recurrence metadata, and attendee display metadata needed to render your schedule

c. Usage Data

  • Tasks, routines, and time tracking data
  • App interaction events

d. Device Information

  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • Performance data

3. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the App
  • Sync your data across devices
  • Analyze usage and improve features
  • Communicate updates
  • Authenticate your account with Google Sign-In, if selected
  • Import and display your Google Calendar events in read-only mode, if connected

4. Analytics

We may use tools like Firebase to:

  • Track usage
  • Improve performance
  • Understand user behavior

5. Data Storage

Your data is securely stored using cloud infrastructure (such as Supabase or similar providers).

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Service providers (hosting, analytics)
  • Legal authorities if required

We do not use Google user data for advertising and do not sell Google user data.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as:

  • Your account is active
  • It is needed to provide services

Google-connected data is retained only as needed to provide calendar features or comply with legal obligations.

8. What We Do Not Collect or Store

  • We do not request Google Calendar write scopes.
  • We cannot create, modify, or delete Google Calendar events.
  • We do not store your Google account password.

9. Account Deletion and Revocation

You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

You can disconnect Google Calendar in app settings or revoke Metronome access in your Google account permissions.

When you delete your account:

  • Your personal data (including tasks, routines, and usage data) will be permanently deleted
  • This action cannot be undone

You can request account deletion by:

  • Using the in-app "Delete Account" feature (if available), or
  • Contacting us at [email protected]

We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.

10. Subscription & Payments

Metronome may offer premium features through paid subscriptions managed by third-party services such as RevenueCat.

  • Payments are processed through the Apple App Store
  • We do not directly store or process your payment information
  • Subscription status (for example, active plan and expiration) may be shared with us to provide premium features

Subscriptions:

  • Automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date
  • Can be managed through your Apple ID account settings

11. Security

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.

OAuth tokens and related credentials are transmitted over TLS and stored using industry-standard access controls.

12. Google API Services User Data Policy

Metronome's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

13. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under 13.

14. Changes to Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the App indicates acceptance.
