Terms of Use (EULA)
Last updated: July 8, 2026
1. Overview & Agreement
Welcome to Metronome. These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are the End User License Agreement ("EULA") for the Metronome mobile application, "Metronome: Focus & Task Timer" (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
This agreement is between you and Metronome (the developer of the App, "we", "our", or "us") only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the App or its content. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for your own personal, non-commercial use on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service and the Usage Rules set out in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
This license does not allow you to use the App on any device you do not own or control, and you may not distribute or make the App available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices at the same time, except as expressly permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
3. Use of the App
Metronome provides productivity tools designed to help users organize tasks, manage time, and improve focus. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes.
4. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
5. Subscriptions (Metronome Pro)
Some features of the App are available through a paid subscription called "Metronome Pro." The following terms apply to that subscription.
a. Metronome Pro
Metronome Pro is a premium tier that unlocks additional features in the App. It is an auto-renewable subscription, offered in the following plans:
- Yearly— currently $59.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial
- Monthly— currently $6.99 per month, with a 3-day free trial
Prices shown above are current pricing, as shown at the point of purchase and on the App Store. Pricing may vary by region and may change over time; the price you pay is always the price displayed to you at the point of purchase.
b. Auto-renewal
Your subscription automatically renews for the same period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
c. Billing
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the cost of the selected plan.
d. Free trial
If a plan includes a free trial, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Your free trial automatically converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
e. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time through your Apple ID account. On your device, go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, or manage your subscription through your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you will retain access to Metronome Pro until then. We do not provide partial-period refunds.
f. Refunds
Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services and App Store terms. We are not able to process refunds directly. To request a refund, please contact Apple at support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084.
g. Managing your subscription
You can view and manage your subscription, including changing or cancelling your plan, at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you create (such as tasks, routines, and data).
By using the App, you grant us permission to:
- Store your data
- Process your data to provide functionality
7. Google Account Connection
If you connect your Google account, you authorize Metronome to access only the Google scopes you approve at consent time.
Google Calendar integration is read-only. Metronome does not create, modify, or delete Google Calendar events through this connection.
You may revoke Metronome's Google access at any time in Google account permissions and/or Metronome settings. Revoking access may disable calendar-related features.
Our handling of Google account and calendar data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for illegal or unauthorized purposes
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App
- Reverse engineer or exploit the system
9. Intellectual Property
The App, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and the "Metronome" name and marks, is owned by Metronome and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a license to use the App; they do not transfer any ownership to you.
Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the App or any part of it.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Metronome, and not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content, and for providing any maintenance and support services for the App. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the App, and no warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Metronome shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the App.
13. Apple and Third Parties
These Terms are between you and Metronome, not Apple. Metronome, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App, its content, maintenance and support, and for addressing any claims relating to the App — including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation, and claims that the App infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you.
You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties, and that you will comply with all applicable laws when using the App.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
